Computer and Information system

The aim of the course is to provide basic understanding to the operation of a digital computer. The course presents representation of information and a semiformal hardware description language for the description of the basic computer functions. Moreover, computer memory hierarchy and its implementation is considered, various input/output operations are covered. An assembly language programming assignment is included.
