1.INSERTING NEW COURSES IN THE THEIERE WEB SITE |

Now, we will guide you through the steps needed to introduce a new course in the THEIERE Web site. The process is very simple. We shall distinguish between to insert a new course and to modify a course that already exists. |

2. GENERAL X-REPOSITORY DESCRIPTION |

Introduction
X-Repository is a tool addressed to manage educational resources in the context of the THEIERE project. It can be accessed at: http://roger.disca.upv.es/WebTheiere2/Theiere.html At this moment, it only runs using Internet Explorer or latest versions of Netscape, and it is a prototype. Therefore, changes can be made in future X-Repository versions. 2.2 Main application Figure 1 shows the main X-Repository screen. It contains several display areas:
Main options are:
This option provides information about the introduced educational resources. Once this option is selected, left frame shows an index structure. User can select index items or he can use control objects to move through them. Information about the selected package items is displayed on the central frame. Figure 2 shows a snapshot, which displays part of the Internet package index on the left frame and a reference to an Internet tutorial in the central frame. LOM button (left frame bottom) allows the access to information about the selected resource item.
2.4 "Tools" option User can introduce references to educational resources by using the "Tools" option. Next operations are available:
Figure 3 shows the application of "Tools" option to edit the Internet package and add or modify its items. An example of item introduction is displayed on Figure 4. It shows how resource information such as Title, URL or Description is introduced. After doing these operations, "Packages" option allows the user to see all the changes. Figure 5 shows an example of Internet item, which is translated from English to Spanish.
